Shinsuke Nakamura will start his feud with Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules when he returns from the dog bite injury but he already has a plan in mind for his opponent at WrestleMania.
During a recent interview with the Asbury Park Press, Nakamura said that he would like a match with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania and that match was one of the reasons why he chose to sign with WWE.
“One of the purposes of coming to WWE was to wrestle with Daniel Bryan,” Nakamura explained.
“But now, I’ve got like a high possibility to wrestle with Daniel at like the biggest stage in wrestling history,” Nakamura said. “So I’m so excited.”
The door is now open for that match to happen since Bryan has been cleared and is wrestling again but if Nakamura wants that match at WrestleMania then Bryan would need to sign a new deal before his current contract expires on September 1st. Bryan is interested in signing a new deal but wants a limited schedule so he can rest his body and so he can spend time at home with his wife and daughter.
If Nakamura vs. Bryan happens, it is guaranteed to be one of the show-stealing matches on the show.
