The numbers are in for the latest episode of WWE Backstage.
The show, which aired on Saturday, January 30th at 8 pm eastern, did 156,000 viewers and a .04 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It ranked #123 for the night in the top 150 shows on cable list.
The previous episode of WWE Backstage, which was way back on June 16, 2020, did 175,000 viewers. The show ranked #110 on the cable top 150 list with a 0.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
This special one-off episode was to promote the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. When the weekly show was canceled last year, there was talk of the show returning for occasional specials. So more specials, possibly for WrestleMania, could air in the future.
The show’s ratings fell below 200,000 viewers since debuting in the 11 pm eastern timeslot on Fox Sports 1. In some cases, it would fall under 100,000 viewers. At first, when CM Punk was added to the panel, the belief was it would help boost the ratings, but eventually, the numbers fell off.
