SPOILER: Huge match with former WWE star confirmed for Evolution pay-per-view

It looks like WWE already has plans for at least one big match at the Evolution pay-per-view taking place in October.

The match has yet to be announced on television but a graphic was shown on the big screen at the Barclays Center prior to tonight’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 show. As you can see below, the graphic shown on the big screen featured Trish Stratus and Alexa Bliss. Mickie James was lobbying for the match with Stratus but apparently, she won’t be getting her wish, at least not at this pay-per-view.

WWE sent out a press release a couple of weeks ago hyping that several women from the past will be part of the show including Lita and Beth Phoenix. We don’t know if they will just be appearing or if they will be in a match. Several women from NXT will also be on the show and it is expected that Ronda Rousey will be in one of the top matches. Rousey’s match could be a set up for what they have planned for her in November. We won’t spoil it here but you can click here if you want to find out what WWE has planned for her at Survivor Series.

If you are wondering why WWE would announce this match to the live crowd in Brooklyn, it’s likely because the pay-per-view will be taking place less than an hour away in Uniondale, NY at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and they are getting ready to put tickets on sale.

The Evolution pay-per-view will feature a Raw Women’s Championship match, Smackdown Women’s Championship match, NXT Women’s Championship match, WWE UK Women’s Championship match and the finals of the Mae Young Classic.
