SPOILER: Planned Match For WWE SmackDown Revealed

R-Truth and Damian Priest are set to defend the World Tag Team Championships against JC Cobb and Tama Tonga of the MFTs, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. WWE is expected to formally announce the match shortly.

The bout represents a significant opportunity for the MFTs faction, which is led by Solo Sikoa and also includes Tama Tonga and JC Cobb among its members. The group has been a prominent force on SmackDown in recent months. Jacob Fatu is also listed to appear on this week’s SmackDown, adding another layer of MFT presence to the show.

The tag title match comes as part of what is shaping up to be a loaded SmackDown on April 24, which also features a WWE Women’s United States Championship match between Giulia and Tiffany Stratton. Stratton earned the number one contendership last Friday by defeating Jordynne Grace, though her original title shot against Giulia was changed hours before the event. Rhea Ripley and Trick Williams have also been announced to appear on the show.

The full announced lineup for Friday’s SmackDown on April 24 is as follows:

  • WWE Women’s United States Championship: Giulia (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton
  • R-Truth and Damian Priest (c) vs. JC Cobb and Tama Tonga for the World Tag Team Championships
  • Rhea Ripley appearance
  • Trick Williams appearance
  • Jacob Fatu appearance

SmackDown airs tonight on USA Network.
