The big cliffhanger at the end of this week’s WWE SmackDown Live was supposed to have fans wondering who attacked Roman Reigns. This happened just as Reigns was about to issue a SummerSlam challenge so many assumed that whoever caused the WWE equipment to fall on him would be the one wrestling Reigns at SummerSlam. That assumption would be correct.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns is the plan for SummerSlam. There’s only one SmackDown Live left before SummerSlam so presumably, Bryan will reveal himself this coming Tuesday night.
WWE has been teasing a “career-altering” announcement for Bryan but he has yet to say what that announcement is. Perhaps, his announcement is related to his match with Reigns.
