The card for WWE NXT TakeOver: Phoenix appears to be close to being finalized as the first special event for the yellow brand of the new year is less than a month away.
On Thursday night, NXT taped a few weeks of television from Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University. New feuds that will lead to matches at this show include Ricochet defending the NXT North American Title against Johnny Gargano and The Undisputed Era defending the NXT Tag Team Title against The War Raiders.
Typically, Triple H, who oversees the creative of the yellow brand, likes to have these specials have a total of five matches. Thus, it’s likely that another match will be added to the card. With the special less than a month away, WWE will likely announce it in a pre-taped segment that the live crowd didn’t see.
This show goes down on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona at the Talking Stick Resort Arena that will be broadcasted on the WWE Network. Here’s the updated card:
