“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has become known for his expert opinion on the wrestling business. People should listen to him too because he knows what he’s talking about. Austin has always been a fan of Roman Reigns, and even though Reigns might be a controversial character Austin knows a good thing when he sees it.
Steve Austin recently spoke to Off The Board podcast where he was asked about Roman Reigns. Austin really put The Big Dog over in a huge way. He not only praised his work ethic and ability to do his job in the ring, but the WWE Hall Of Famer also gave Roman some of the highest compliments we can imagine someone getting from The Rattlesnake.
“You put that guy in that line up during the Attitude Era, with that roster of Hall of Famers, guys that have yet to be in the Hall of Fame, holy smokes, I think the guy could’ve been lights out because the competition was so hot, heavy, and fierce. It was sink or swim. You got a bunch of guys out there with knives and you get in the way and they will cut you, so, I think he would’ve thrived in the Attitude Era and right now, just with his looks, his size, his physicality, he’s gonna be just fine and he’s gonna be a big star.”
If Roman Reigns would have been in the Attitude Era not only would we get a chance to see him square off against The Rock, but he could have also had also been part of some of the greatest feuds in WWE History. At this point, he might very well be a WWE Hall Of Famer alongside Steve Austin. But at least we get to see The Big Dog do work in his yard today, and that’s still pretty fun.
