For everyone wondering about Daniel Bryan’s status after WWE added him to the 9/4 Smackdown Live, you shouldn’t read too much into that. He is also booked for the Super Show-Down in Australia and WWE’s return to MSG in December.
Dave Meltzer reports that he has not signed a contract. It’s also worth noting that he hasn’t indicated that he is leaving. Last weekend, during an interview with The Business Times, he said that he would likely sign a new deal. Of course, WWE would need to agree to put him on a lighter schedule because he doesn’t want to be on the road 250 days per year.
Bryan said that he doesn’t like being away from his daughter for long periods of time and he would like to work between 50 and 100 days per year.
Despite reports claiming that he signed a two-year deal, that was not correct. Also, reports claiming that he signed a two-month extension are also incorrect.
