Tiffany Stratton: ‘Hopefully I Never Get Left Off Of Another WrestleMania Again’

Tiffany Stratton was left off WrestleMania 42, and she has a simple standard for how she would take it if it happened again.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Stratton said her approach is to keep her focus on the part of the job she has authority over.

“I am always somebody that tries to control everything that is fully in my control. For instance, any segment I have on the show, I always try to make sure I do it to the best of my ability. I’m not half-a***ing anything. Every time I go and I have a match, I make sure I overdeliver.”

“So I’ve just been controlling what I can control, and if that keeps me off the WrestleMania card, then, you know, my best wasn’t good enough and back to the drawing board. So hopefully I never get left off of another WrestleMania again.”

She was more upbeat about this weekend.

“But I’m excited to be on SummerSlam. That is also a really amazing opportunity.”

Stratton did not have a match at WrestleMania 42 in April, despite having been a runner-up in both the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber earlier in the year. She responded by beating Giulia for the Women’s United States Championship on the SmackDown that followed the show, which was the third singles championship of her WWE career after runs with the NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Championship.

It is not the first time she has addressed the omission. Days after WrestleMania 42, Stratton said missing the card had left her with a chip on her shoulder and that she intended to do everything in her power to make sure it did not happen again.

SummerSlam takes place this weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, roughly an hour from where Stratton grew up in Prior Lake, Minnesota. She is part of the five-way match to crown an interim WWE Women’s Champion, alongside Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill and Chelsea Green.
