Paul “Triple H” Levesque says nobody in WWE is going to decide when Brock Lesnar stops.
Speaking to ESPN’s First Take ahead of SummerSlam, Levesque was asked whether Lesnar continues wrestling after this weekend and put the answer entirely on Lesnar.
“It’s really in his court as to what he wants to do. For Brock, there’s always gas left in the tank. I believe he is one of those generational athletes. It’s just a matter of, is this the right time for him?”
“It all comes down to what does he see next for Brock? The great ones know when to call it a day. Brock will know, but he’ll tell us in real-time, live in Minnesota at SummerSlam.”
Levesque also said the company would accommodate more if the demand is there.
“If there’s a desire to see it, if the fans want to see it, if there’s a way to get it done, WWE will get it done. That’s what we do.”
Lesnar meets Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam this weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The two have split their previous meetings at WrestleMania 42 and Clash in Italy, and Femi turned down the world title shot he earned by winning the King of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions in order to pursue the match. They weighed in on Monday’s Raw, with Femi at 302 pounds and Lesnar at 303.
