Following his reveal from a mystery crate at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Danhausen made his first official appearance on Monday Night Raw this week, and the industry is already taking notice. Tommy Dreamer shared his thoughts on Busted Open Radio, expressing immense optimism about the gimmick’s future.
Danhausen’s Raw debut saw him have a backstage segment with General Manager Adam Pearce, where he presented a comical “list of demands” (or “demandhausens”). These requests included a blimp, his face on all the production trucks, and the iconic Triple H finger-pointing photo. Dreamer noted that this type of storytelling is exactly what will allow Danhausen to build a lasting connection with the WWE audience.
“Day two, he has his little list of demands with Adam Pearce. I thought it was freaking great. Then he puts a curse on Dom Mysterio, and then he disappears. Stuff like this, with his character work, he will entertain and win us over. The fact that this curse now has happened, I have Dominik Mysterio, Danhausen getting this, ‘Hey man, you’ve got to lift this curse off me.’ This is a way that Danhausen will continue to get over.”
Dreamer’s biggest takeaway was the potential for Danhausen to fill a specific archetype that has been incredibly successful for WWE in the past. He specifically cited R-Truth—who has been a staple of SmackDown recently following a 2025 contract situation—as the blueprint for Danhausen’s trajectory. Dreamer believes that if WWE utilizes Danhausen as a versatile, entertaining “wild card” in a similar fashion, it will result in a “home run” for both the performer and the company.
“They have R-Truth more so on SmackDown, if this character could be utilized like R-Truth is on Raw, this will be a home run for Danhausen and the WWE.”
