Top matches for WrestleMania, MVP is not done yet with WWE

The top of the card for WrestleMania 36 is coming into focus.

On WWE TV, Drew McIntyre still needs to choose which champion he wants to face at WrestleMania but it’s pretty clear what the top matches will be. I noted several weeks ago that Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns would be one of the top matches and WWE is sticking to those plans, which means it will be McIntyre vs. Lesnar on the Raw side.

Here are the top three matches for WrestleMania 36:

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs. Drew McIntyre

WWE Universal Championship
Bray Wyatt (Champion) vs. Roman Reigns

Randy Orton vs. Edge

There is no word yet on plans for Becky Lynch but it looks like she will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair.

In other news, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kane was not scheduled for the Rumble. So, for some reason, WWE teased that he would be in but they never actually planned on him being in the match.

Dave Meltzer noted that MVP is going to work for a couple of nights but not for the long term. MVP indicated on his social media accounts that he wanted to come back to wrestle in front of his son. He thanked Rey Mysterio so he may have been the one who pulled some strings to get MVP in the Rumble.
