As WWE continues to evolve, there have been countless changes have been made following the merger with the UFC last year into TKO, with departments being merged, and employees and talent released.
There has been another shake-up at the top of the helm in WWE, with one key executive recently gone to the point where his profile is still listed on WWE’s website.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum tendered his resignation on May 1st. Blu, along with Nick Khan and Paul Levesque were considered the three most powerful officers in WWE.
While with WWE, Blum had been a critical strategic and operational leader since he first signed with WWE in 2006, going to work as Chief of Staff for more than a decade. He also had various leadership roles, including taking responsibility for WWE’s Operations in early 2020, where he reported to Khan and oversaw Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative Services, IT & Technology, Insights & Analytics, Real Estate & Facilities, and Corporate Travel.
From 2006-2019, he was Vince McMahon’s Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff before he became Executive Vice President of Operations through 2023. It should be noted that Blum was revealed as No. 2 in the Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurnatis, and WWE.
Blum allegedly warned McMahon that there were a lot of rumors circulating about McMahon’s relationship with Grant.
