Unfortunately, Drew McIntyre hasn’t been medically cleared to return to in-ring action for the post-Christmas WWE tour.
As previously reported, Roman Reigns and McIntyre are out of action for right now due to suffering ruptured eardrums at Survivor Series. The injury is expected to be short-term, and both should be back soon.
WWE first pulled McIntyre from Monday’s house show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where he was slated to work an eight-man tag team match. However, the advertisement has been changed to The Usos vs. Braun Strowman & Kevin Owens.
Pwinsider.com reports that McIntyre is being given time away from in-ring action to heal from what was described as “a minor injury.” The report added that he would not be appearing in any capacity at the live events next week.
The former WWE Champion last competed at a live event on November 27 that saw The Bloodline (Jimmy & Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn) taking on Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland), McIntyre, and Kevin Owens.
