Tuesday’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil was a newsworthy show as it featured a special appearance from The Rock, where he addressed fans and wrestlers.

Also, there were two title changes, as Gulia beat Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title in the opening contest. Another big title change was Oba Femi beating Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a triple threat match to win the NXT Title.

WWE showed Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan in the crowd. There was also another interesting name at the show. PWInsider.com reports that CM Punk was at the show visiting.

WWE aired Raw from LA the night before, and he has shown up at several NXT events in the past. Punk went over Seth Rollins in the main event of Raw on Netflix.
