Triple H has made clear just how irreplaceable the WrestleMania 42 main event performers are.
Speaking with Joe Tessitore, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque addressed both night one and night two main events and what it would mean if any of those names were unavailable heading into the show.
“If you lose your quarterback, if you lose your first-string offensive lineman, if you lose your star center or star guard in the NBA, you have a second-string guy to back him up, and you hope that those second-string guys are pretty good. There is no backup Cody Rhodes. There is no backup Randy Orton, there’s no backup Roman Reigns, there’s no backup CM Punk,” Levesque said.
Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the night one main event on April 18. CM Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the night two main event on April 19. Both bouts take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
