WWE has started announcing matches for tonight’s episode of SmackDown through its website as The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in a street fight. Also set for the episode is Rick Boogs vs. Sami Zayn in a singles match.
The Usos and The New Day just worked a title match at the Day 1 event this past Saturday night with the champions coming out on top to retain the gold.
Sami Zayn was supposed to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Title at Day 1 after becoming the #1 contender. However, the match was pulled and WWE has yet to give a reason as to why although the company did deal with a COVID-19 outbreak the week of the show.
As previously noted, Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been medically cleared to return to work after testing positive for COVID-19 and will confront newly crowned WWE Champion Brock Lesnar on this show.
