Two Segments Announced For WWE SmackDown

Two more names have been added to tonight’s WWE SmackDown, with Cody Rhodes set to open the show and Jacob Fatu announced to appear following Monday’s confrontation with Roman Reigns.

WWE.com confirmed that Rhodes will kick off the broadcast. The company wrote of the segment: “After addressing Randy Orton’s vicious punt attack and the aftermath of WrestleMania last week, what will be the next challenge facing Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes?”

Fatu’s appearance comes on the heels of Reigns officially accepting his challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash on May 9. WWE.com wrote: “After an explosive confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns on Raw, what will be the fallout for Jacob Fatu heading into his title match against The OTC at WWE Backlash?”

Also on tonight’s card, Charlotte Flair faces Jacy Jayne in what will be Jayne’s first singles match since her SmackDown call-up as part of Fatal Influence. Ricky Saints is also set to make his SmackDown debut, though his opponent has not yet been announced. The full lineup for tonight’s SmackDown is as follows:

  • Cody Rhodes kicks off the show
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Jacy Jayne
  • Jacob Fatu appearance
  • Ricky Saints debuts

SmackDown takes place tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and airs on USA Network.
