Tyson Fury has stated he’s done boxing after beating Dillian Whyte in November via TKO. If he stays retired then he would finish up his career with a 32-0-1 record.
Although Fury may not step back into the ring as a professional boxer, he has seen what Floyd Mayweather has done with exhibition fights and the money the fellow boxer has made. Now, he wants to join in on doing these types of fights.
While speaking with Good Morning Britain, Fury talked about his plans and threw out some names as his possible opponents including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
“Nothing’s happened. I’m gonna take some exhibition matches, some ‘not real’ fights that are purely entertainment factor. This is not professional boxing, this is pure entertainment, Hollywood entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. The difference is, the exhibition is you’re not there to win or lose. You’re there to enjoy, have a good time, and put on a show for the fans. You can fight old-timers, famous people, whoever you want. I’m looking at fighting Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, whoever. The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, that would be fantastic. You never know who we could be fighting on one of these shows, but that’s what I’m open to in the upcoming future.”
The Rock has yet to react to Fury’s idea for an exhibition fight. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below:
