It looks like Paige will not be a part of the women’s Royal Rumble on January 28th in Philadelphia. PWInsider reports that she will not be cleared in time for the show.
Paige has been out of action for a couple of weeks after she took a hard double kick to the back from Sasha Banks at a live event. It was a spot they had done in previous matches but this time she seemed unprepared and she had trouble getting back up. The belief at the time was that she suffered a stinger but it turns out that the injury was worse than they thought.
WWE is not going to take any chances, especially with head and neck issues. At this point, she won’t be in the Rumble match but she’ll likely be in the corner of Absolution. We wish her the best and hope for a speedy recovery.
