We are about 2 weeks away from the next WWE pay-per-view and most of the matches have been announced. As of today, here are the matches that have been announced:
WWE Universal Championship
Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs. Braun Strowman
John Cena vs. Roman Reigns – click here for backstage news regarding this match and what WWE’s intentions are for this match (warning: this could be considered a spoiler).
Raw Women’s Champion – Fatal 4-Way Match
Alexa Bliss (Champion) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax vs. Emma
The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that the destination is Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax so there will be a singles match at a future PPV. That was actually the plan for SummerSlam before things got switched around. Anyway, since they are planning for an eventual singles match between Jax and Bliss, then that would likely mean that Jax is winning the title or Bliss is retaining. So, it’s possible (some say likely) that Emma is in the match to take the fall.
Raw Tag Team Championship
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (Champions) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Neville (Champion) vs. Enzo Amore
Despite the heat that he has garnered backstage, you can’t argue with the fact that Enzo is still getting great reactions and he is one of the few guys in the cruiserweight division that people care about. It would not surprise me if he wins the title at the PPV.
Also, while not yet announced, The Miz (Champion) vs. Jason Jordan for the WWE Intercontinental Championship could he added to the show.
WWE No Mercy will take place on 9/24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
