UPDATE: His final appearance took place on Saturday night in Toronto (his hometown). Click here for photos and video clips of the NXT roster giving him a standing ovation.
ORIGINAL: Bobby Roode might be leaving NXT but the memories he made there will never escape his brain. The Glorious One had a very heartfelt speech at the NXT show in St. Catharine, Ontario where he bid farewell to WWE’s developmental territory.
Usually, goodbyes mean we’ll be seeing less of someone, but when you’re moving up to the WWE main roster it means more exposure for a WWE Superstar. Only time will tell just how far Bobby Roode’s star will rise in WWE but he’s off to a very good start so far.
Bobby spoke about how important it was for him to be in NXT. He’s obviously proud of his time there. You can see the video below and watch Bobby Roode thank the NXT Universe to a sea of cheers for all of his hard work.
Roode said, “this is your NXT” before leaving. But even though he might be departing and joining WWE’s blue brand full time that doesn’t mean NXT will be without anyone to feature. With Adam Cole’s arrival as well as Drew McIntyre’s NXT Championship reign beginning WWE’s developmental brand is obviously in very good hands.
