As noted here on wrestlingnews.co, the four-part documentary on CM Punk is scheduled to air on Monday night at 9:30pm eastern. It will be interesting to see if that documentary affects the Raw viewership.
The documentary will focus on Punk’s transition from professional wrestling into UFC. He will talk about the uphill climb he’s had to face, the injuries that have slowed down his training, and some of the misconceptions from fighters and MMA fans. Punk is out to prove the doubters wrong and with a 0-0 record, he will be stepping into the Octagon against Mickey Gall, a name that many are favoring over Punk.
Punk signed with UFC back in December of 2014 and he was originally expected to debut in late 2015. He is finally set to step into the Octagon on September 10th at UFC 203. He is not being billed as the main event but it’s very clear that his fight will draw the most interest from MMA and pro wrestling fans.
