WATCH: The Rock explains why he retired from pro wrestling

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently made an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” to promote the release of his latest film, Hobbs & Shaw, that hit theaters on Friday.

During the interview, Rock spoke with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Maria Menounos about if he misses pro wrestling.

The Rock responded with, “I miss wrestling, I love wrestling. Yes, I do.”

Moments later, the former WWE Champion was asked if he wishes he could do acting and WWE. The Rock responded with “no” before stating, “I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a really wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish.”

The future WWE Hall of Famer continued by talking about how there is nothing like performing in front of a live crowd and how his family has been in the pro wrestling business for decades. He ended the answer with crediting his time and journey in wrestling to getting him where he’s at today.
