Wendy Choo Captures WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship In Eliminator Gauntlet

Wendy Choo is the new WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship after winning an Eliminator Gauntlet match on tonight’s episode of EVOLVE on Tubi.

The gauntlet featured eight women competing for the vacant title: Karmen Petrovic, Nikkita Lyons, PJ Vasa, Kali Armstrong, Wendy Choo, Laynie Luck, Tyra Mae Steele, and Sloane Jacobs. Choo outlasted all seven opponents to capture the championship.

The title had been vacant since February when Kendal Grey relinquished the championship after officially joining the NXT roster. Grey had held the title for 146 days after winning it from Kali Armstrong at EVOLVE Succession in September. WWE EVOLVE General Manager Timothy Thatcher announced the Eliminator Gauntlet match a few weeks ago to crown a new champion.

Choo’s win is a significant moment in her EVOLVE run. She was one of four women in the Fatal Four-Way Elimination match that crowned the inaugural EVOLVE Women’s Champion in May 2025, where she lost to Kali Armstrong. She also challenged Grey for the title in January on EVOLVE and came up short in a competitive match.

Choo has undergone a notable character shift in recent months, dropping her previous spooky persona in favor of a more straightforward babyface presentation. She becomes the third EVOLVE Women’s Champion in the title’s history, following Armstrong and Grey, both of whom graduated to the NXT roster.

WWE EVOLVE airs on Tubi.
