WWE already has an opponent in mind for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 37

Although Brock Lesnar isn’t under contract with WWE right now doesn’t mean that Vince McMahon hasn’t considered potential plans for the former WWE Champion at WrestleMania 37.

Of course, Lesnar’s WWE deal expired after WrestleMania 36 where he lost the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre. Since that time, the two sides have tried to come to terms on a new deal, but talks have hit an impasse. There’s been speculation about him potentially going to AEW, but reportedly those chances are slim.

However, the company has considered booking a rematch between McIntyre and Lesnar at WrestleMania 37.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Lesnar’s name had been talked about in WWE in reference to a Drew McIntyre rematch for this coming WrestleMania.”

It was noted that this was if McIntyre was going to retain the WWE Title during his feud with Randy Orton.

As noted, WWE has considered putting the title on Orton with the idea that he would resume his feud with Edge when the WWE Hall of Famer is cleared of his most recent injury. That match was previously reported to be the main event of WrestleMania, but things changed last week.

It was added that regarding WrestleMania 37,  nothing in that direction is close to being decided.
