Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Tamina, Becky Lynch, Lana competed in a 5-way elimination match for the chance to become the number 1 contender for Naomi’s Smackdown Women’s Championship. Aside from the spots with Lana, it was a pretty good match. The announcers also made sure to let us know that Tamina was always there to save Lana. Lana got pinned after Tamina was eliminated.
The finish was Charlotte missing a moonsault and Natalya driving her into the corner of the ring (back and head first). Natalya then got the pin. Naomi walked in the ring and tried to shake Natalya’s hand but Natalya walked away.
Order of elimination:
– Becky Lynch forced Tamina to tap out to the arm submission.
– Lynch also forced Lana to tap out.
– Natalya pinned Becky Lynch
– Natalya got the pin on Charlotte.
Natalya will go on to challenge Naomi for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.
