The WWE Clash At The Castle 2024 Premium Live Event from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, was memorable for a lot of people, including UK indie talent. The company held the PLE as well as Friday Night SmackDown overseas a week ago, and the fans were electric and gave great reactions throughout the nights.
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan reports WWE invited several familiar faces of UK wrestling fans to the pair of events, with at least ten names being at the shows, including extras and guests.
Damian Corvin, Progress Women’s World Champion Rhio, Aaron Echo, Andy Roberts, Shreddy, BT Gunn, RP Davies, Danny Jones, and Mulligan were all invited to the show. There were other names invited, but Fightful hasn’t been able to confirm those.
It was said that several of them did extra work, while RP Davies was notably spotted after the I Quit Match with Cody Rhodes at Clash At The Castle to help AJ Styles backstage. It’s unclear whether any deals are being offered to the talent invited.
It is known that Gabe Sapolsky played a role in getting the talent to the show, as he previously scouted talent for WWE in addition to running EVOLVE.
