In the third match on the main card of The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules, it was supposed to be Apollo Crews defending the United States Championship against MVP. However, Tom Phillips said that Crews was not cleared to wrestle.
MVP and Bobby Lashley walked out to the ring. MVP declared himself as the new United States Champion due to forfeit. That was basically the end of the segment.
