WWE has filed a trademark for John Cena.
On July 19, WWE filed to trademark the term, “Earn The Day.” This is being used for his new merchandise. Here is the description for the filing under the category of clothing:
“G & S: Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, pajamas; clothing ties; scarves; gloves; swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandannas.”
WWE previously filed for the trademark on November 8, 2016, and was granted the rights on March 21, 2017. The company abandoned the trademark on June 22, 2020.
Cena made his return at Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event to have a staredown with Universal Champion Roman Reigns to set up their SummerSlam main event.
The former WWE Champion is slated to make several appearances on Raw and SmackDown as well as at live events.
