WWE has expressed interest in working with another Japan promotion

WWE has had working relationships with other promotions in the past whether that be with ECW, OVW, NJPW, UK companies, and most recently All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Other arraignments

Last week, AJPW shared a video on social media featuring President Tsuyoki Fukud in a luxurious hotel room surrounded by women where he got a call from a representative of WWE. He mentioned that AJPW is interested in booking one of the stars from NXT to have this mystery star challenge for the Triple Crown title at New Year Giant Series 2024 on January 3.

Katsuhiko Nakajima is defending the title against Kento Miyahara at AJPW’s December 31 event. That NXT star was later revealed to be Charlie Dempsey.

WWE previously sent Shinsuke Nakamura to Pro Wrestling Noah to work a match with The Great Muta as part of his retirement tour. Now, it looks like they could be working with Stardom in the near future.

New partnership?

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Besides the new deal working with All Japan, WWE has also expressed interest in working with Stardom. Nothing is finalized that we know of regarding that but WWE is confirmed interested.”

It should be noted that Stardom and NJPW are owned by their parent company, Bushi Road.
