WWE is investing in technology in a big way, as the company has opened a new studio complex that is 30,000 square feet in size called The Studios at WWE.
Sports Video Group has an article up looking at the complex that has “five studios include a 5,000 sq. ft. main studio, a 1,500 Cyclorama studio, a 1,500 sq. ft. volumetric LED studio (to open later this spring), and then two smaller insert stages that are around 600 sq. ft. each (there is also a photo studio that is around 1,000 sq. ft.).”
This is the first facility here in the states to Crystal LED Verona, which implants a total of 158 cabinets across its main wall and auxiliary carts.
Joe Solari, WWE VP of Studio Operations, was quoted in the piece noting that everybody’s very excited to get in there and to create on the stages as it gives them new tools to push the limits of what they can do and take their production to another level.
Senior Vice President and Director of WWE TV, Marty Miller, recently stated that the company plans to push the envelope when it moves Monday Night Raw to Netflix in regards to tech.
