WWE is planning on reuniting two tag teams

On Tuesday’s Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez was asked why Vince McMahon chose to load up Smackdown Live with tag teams and why he didn’t do the same for Raw. Alvarez guessed that McMahon probably gave two minutes of thought during the Superstar Shake-Up. Alvarez revealed the current plans to reform two tag teams on Raw.

“Plans change all the time, everybody,” Alvarez said. “The last I heard was it’s probably going to be Jordan and Gable again and Rollins and Ambrose as the teams [added to Raw], and not Rollins and Jason Jordan. But who knows what they’ll do?” That last line was a reference to how McMahon changes his mind all the time.

Jordan has been out with a neck injury but he should be returning to television soon. Ambrose, at last word, is scheduled to be back in late August or early September. The Rollins/Ambrose/Reigns reunion got derailed last year so it will be interesting to see if they are meant to be a long-time team or if this will lead to a short-term Shield reunion.

Jordan and Gable were great in NXT. If they are allowed to, they could be a top act on the main roster. At this point, since Gable is not being featured on Raw every week, this must be welcome news to him.
