If all goes well, we might see a new tag team on WWE TV in the near future.
Tony Nese and Mike Kanellis are teaming at NXT live events this weekend. PWInsider is reporting that this is a test run for them and if all goes well, then they will be used regularly as a team on NXT TV shows.
Nese and Kanellis defeated Nick Ogarelli and Mohamed at Friday night’s NXT show in Melbourne, Florida and it was Kanellis’ first match since he requested his release in October.
WWE clearly has no intention of granting his release but it looks like they are attempting to make things right for him by trying something new. Kanellis has said told people in the company that he wants to stay busy so it looks like that wish is being granted.
Nese has been primarily wrestling on 205 Live and he has done some NXT shows but he hasn’t been featured prominently during most of his run in WWE.
