Ric Flair has posted a photo of himself outside an emergency room entrance on X alongside a statement about ongoing health issues, and followed it minutes later with a screenshot of his iPhone Health app showing elevated cardiac readings.
In the first post, Flair wrote: “If You Understood The Health Issues That I Deal With And Am Currently Dealing With, You Would Understand Why I Get Frustrated In Life With A Lot Of People. I’m Sorry For The Frustration. I Am Taking Time To Focus On My Health.”
The photo attached to the post showed Flair standing outside a hospital emergency room entrance.
Minutes later, he posted a screenshot from his iPhone Health app showing the following readings, all recorded today:
- Heart Rate: 100 BPM (12:33 PM)
- Resting Heart Rate: 98 BPM (12:19 PM)
- Walking Heart Rate Average: 101 BPM (12:16 PM)
- Heart Rate Variability: 6 ms (11:40 AM)
A resting heart rate of 98 BPM sits at the very top of the normal range, which the American Heart Association defines as 60 to 100 BPM. A heart rate variability of 6 ms is extremely low; most adults register significantly higher values, and low HRV is associated with elevated cardiovascular stress. A walking heart rate of 101 BPM is technically above the standard tachycardia threshold of 100 BPM.
The posts follow a turbulent day on social media for Flair, during which he posted and deleted a follow-up about his son David and Green Flair Recycling, LLC, the recycling company David operates in Shelby, North Carolina. In that deleted post, Flair had said he was “obviously not suing” David and urged him to “stand on your own two feet.” Earlier posts had cited a $1,000-per-hour attorney and issued a Monday deadline over David’s use of the FLAIR name.
Flair has an extensive history of serious health issues, including a near-fatal hospitalization in 2017 involving heart failure and multiple organ complications. He is 75 years old. No further details about the nature of the emergency room visit have been shared.
