Tiffany Stratton defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Kiana James

Dragon Lee to take on Mustafa Ali with “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio as the special guest referee

Von Wagner vs Bron Breakker in a No Disqualification Match

NXT Women’s Championship Match:
Tiffany Stratton (Champion) vs Kiana James

Stratton went for James’ bag. She went to hit James with it, but James ducked and hit Stratton with the 401K. Stratton raked James’ eyes, gave her the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and pinned her.
===Winner: Tiffany Stratton

After the match, Becky Lynch appeared on the video wall. She said she won everything in this company except the NXT Championship. Because Stratton made her way to Payback and Monday Night RAW, it’s time for her to come to NXT. Next week, it will be Tiffany Stratton vs Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s championship in the main event.

Backstage, The Creed Brothers said they’ve invited the entire tag team division so that everybody knows what they want. It’s been a year since they held the NXT Tag Team Championship and now they want them again. Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo came in. The Creeds thanked them for taking care of Ivy Nile a few weeks ago against Schism. Edris Enofe and Malik Blade came in and said they wanted a shot.  

Ilja Dragunov vs Ora Mensa (w/ Noam Dar, Jakara Jackson, & Lash Legend)

Mensa hit Dragunov with a spinning heel kick for a two-count. Dragunov hit Mensa with an Enzuigiri and a powerbomb. He followed it up with the Torpedo Moskau and pinned him.
===Winner: Ilja Dragunov

After the match, Wes Lee got in the ring and told Dragunov he has the next crack at Carmelo, but he will give him the first title defense. Dragunov said he is getting the next title shot and he will destroy anybody in his way. Carmelo Hayes came out and said last week he talked to Shawn Michaels and he gave him all the advice he needed to hear. Hayes said he beat both Dragunov and Lee. Lee said that Michaels determined that next week it will be Dragunov vs Lee with the winner to face him September 30th at No Mercy. 

Backstage, Nathan Frazier said he got to NXT by not slowing down and tonight will be no exception.

Backstage, Gigi Dolin interrupted Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne. Dolin told Jayne she is jealous of her because she is making new friends. Blair Davenport came in and said she agrees with Dolin as Hail is a child in a grown woman’s division. Dolin and Davenport argued and Davenport left. Dolin told Hail she doesn’t want to be hanging around with Dolin. Hail said she’s not a kid and she will prove it tonight. 

They showed a clip of Duke Hudson beating Akira Tozawa in a Global Heritage Invitational Match on Level Up 

Global  Heritage Invitational Match:
Nathan Frazier vs Duke Hudson (w/ Andre Chase)

Hudson went for the Razor’s Edge, but Frazier blocked it with a leg scissor sending Hudson face first into the turnbuckle. Frazier hit Hudson with the Phoenix Splash and pinned him.
===Winner: Nathan Frazier

Backstage, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger were talking with The Creeds. Lucien Price and Bronco Nima showed up and said they will go through the Creeds. SCRYPTS showed up and said the streets made Price and Nima the way they are and that’s something he can relate to.

Dabba-Kato vs Tyler Bate

Bate picked up Kato and gave him an airplane spin. Bate went to the top rope and came off with a spinning splash and pinned him.
===Winner: Tyler Bate

Backstage, Dominik Mysterio told Carmelo Hayes that Hayes will find out who his opponent for No Mercy will be next week, and right now, he’s going to pick, and then corrected himself and said find out, who his opponent is right now.

Kiana James came into the locker room upset she didn’t win the NXT Women’s Championship. Roxanne Perez said she should be grateful she even got the opportunity. James punched Perez and the other women in the locker room held them back.

Backstage, Baron Corbin asked who he thinks is going to win the match tonight between Bron Breakker and Von Wagner. Corbin said he doesn’t care. He will be at commentary watching them destroy each other and when it’s all said and done, he’s going to pick up the scraps.

Mustafa Ali vs Dragon Lee (w/ special guest referee Dominik Mysterio

Ali and Lee shook ends to start the match. Lee gave Ali a sit-down powerbomb. Dominik counted one, two, and then slowed down trying to hit the mat for the third time and Ali kicked out. Lee argued with Dominik. Ali rolled up Lee and Dominik made a fast three-count on Lee. Ali punched Dominik after the match as he wanted to win cleanly

Backstage, Ilja Dragunov told Trick Williams that Williams is way more than an entertainer. He asked Williams why he would lie to his friend by saying Carmelo can beat him. Williams said Carmelo beat him before and if Dragunov makes it to No Mercy, Carmelo will beat him again. Dragunov said Williams has one week to think about it because after he beats Wes Lee, he can either continue to lie to his best friend or he can keep lying to himself.

They played an interview taped after last weeks show where Eddy Thorpe said he is not done with Dijak

Global Heritage Invitational Match:
Butch vs Axiom

Axiom hit the Golden Ratio on Butch and went for the pin, but Butch got his foot on the rope. Axiom kicked out of the Bitter End and the time limit expired. They shook hands after the match. 
===Draw 

Earlier today, Von Wagner said Bron Breakker is going to get his ass tabled tonight

Backstage, Angel and Humberto told Tony D’Angelo and Stacks they are going to win the tag team titles. Tony told them to leave and Angel and Humberto punched them and all the tag teams fought with each other.

Gigi Dolin vs Thea Hail (w/ Jacy Jayne)

Hail caught Dolin in the Kimura Lock, but Dolin made it to the ropes forcing the break. Dolin rolled out of the ring. Hail went after her and tried to get the Kimura on again, but Dolin threw her into the ring post. Dolin gave her a clothesline, picked her up, and threw her back in the ring. Jayne got on the ring apron to distract the referee while Davenport came down and grabbed Dolin’s arm, dropped her on the floor, and rolled her back in the ring. Hail locked Dolin in the Kimura Lock again and Dolin submitted.
===Winner: Thea Hail 

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria was giving Kelani Jordan advice. Dana Brook came in and asked Valkyria what she was doing here. Jordan said she was hearing her out because she felt like she let the team down. Brook told Jordan she’s concerned why Valkyria is here filling her head with things she doesn’t need. Brook told Valkyria that Jordan is her friend, they are a team, and she is not going to break them up. Valkyria told Brooke is she wants a match with her, she’s got it, and after she beats her, maybe Jordan will see she needs to pick better friends.

Backstage, Tiffany Stratton said Becky Lynch will be the biggest match of her career. While Becky may be a big star on RAW, she is the center of the universe here on NXT.

No Disqualification Match
Von Wagner (w/ Mr. Stone) vs Bron Breakker

Baron Corbin was on commentary. Wagner threw Breakker through the wall. Breakker crawled back through and Wagner powerbombed him through the announce table. Wagner tossed Breakker back in the ring and Breakker gave him a low blow. Breakker hit Wagner with a spear and pinned him. After the match, Breakker attacked Wagner with a chair. Breakker took the top half of the ring steps off. He placed Wagner’s head on the bottom half of the ring steps and smashed his head with the top half of the ring steps. The show faded to black before we could see the impact of the blow to the head.
