WWE Releases Are Being Handled Differently Than They Were During The Vince McMahon Era

Along with the changes to the production and the way things are run overall in WWE, there has also been a change in the way talent releases are handled.

In the past, wrestlers would get a call from someone like John Laurinaitis or Mark Carrano and they would be told that they were being cut because of budget reasons. Calls were short and to the point and then the news of their release would get posted minutes later on WWE.com and the company’s social media accounts.

This time, there were no releases announced on the official company accounts. PWInsider reported that the calls to the talent were different because they were “less curt” and “more apologetic and respectful” to those who were let go. That’s a big change from the Vince McMahon era.

On his “Six Feet Under” show on YouTube, The Undertaker discussed some of the changes that have happened backstage under Triple H. Click here to read what he said. As for the releases, the belief is that no more releases are expected anytime soon.
