WWE returns to the blue brand tonight for the SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, and WWE has advertised a loaded show featuring new champions, returning legends, and a Women’s United States Championship match.

SmackDown airs tonight at 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT on USA Network.

Rhea Ripley Debuts On SmackDown As The New WWE Women’s Champion

Rhea Ripley officially arrives on SmackDown tonight as the new WWE Women’s Champion after defeating Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 Night Two. WWE is advertising her first appearance on the blue brand as champion as part of tonight’s show.

Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton For The Women’s United States Championship

Tiffany Stratton challenges Giulia for the Women’s United States Championship after earning her title shot by defeating Jordynne Grace last week. Giulia has held the championship since winning it earlier this year and this will be her first televised defense against Stratton.

Trick Williams Celebrates His United States Title Win With Lil Yachty

New United States Champion Trick Williams returns to SmackDown tonight to celebrate his WrestleMania 42 victory over Sami Zayn. Williams will be joined by Lil Yachty for the celebration. The Intercontinental Championship ladder match from WrestleMania 42 Night Two was won by Penta.

Paige Returns To SmackDown For The First Time In Nearly A Decade

Paige makes her first SmackDown appearance in almost 10 years tonight as one half of the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Paige returned at WrestleMania 42 Night One on short notice to replace the injured Nikki Bella and teamed with Brie Bella to win the titles. Brie Bella will join her on the show.

Jacob Fatu Responds After Challenging Roman Reigns On Raw

The Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu appears live on SmackDown tonight after going to Raw on Monday to challenge Roman Reigns to a World Heavyweight Championship match at Backlash. Reigns has not yet given Fatu an answer on the challenge. Fatu is expected to address the situation on tonight’s show.

How To Watch SmackDown Tonight

Tonight’s SmackDown airs live on USA Network at 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT. The show is coming out of WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas and is the final SmackDown before next week’s shows begin the road to Backlash. Backlash takes place on Saturday, May 9 in Tampa, Florida.
