WWE star injured, scheduled to get knee surgery

Since Primo and Epico were repackaged as The Colóns when they moved from Raw to SmackDown Live back in April as part of the Superstar Shakeup, the tag team has picked up some solid wins on WWE television over the likes of American Alpha. However, it seems like their push has been put on hold and it looks like there’s a legitimate reason why.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Primo has suffered a knee injury. As of a result, he will have to undergo surgery soon in order to fix it. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how long Primo will be out of action for.

It will be interesting to see what WWE does with Epico. Time will tell if they keep him on television or take him off to wait for Primo to heal up. Last week there were reports stating that Primo and Epico had requested their release from the company but a source told us that those reports were inaccurate and the team was still with the company.

We wish Primo a speedy recovery.
