WWE star no longer has a last name, Great Khali update, John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakmaura preview + more

Here are some WWE News and notes before we head into the weekend:

WWE has dropped Elias Samson’s last name. He will now be known as just Elias. Don’t ask me why they dropped his last name because there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind these name changes. Enzo Amore had his last name dropped (briefly) a few months ago and Primo and Epico Colon now have their last names listed on the WWE.com roster page.

The Great Khali has been added to the WWE roster page. He flew back to India after the Battleground pay-per-view but, perhaps, the company has plans to use him again.

In the video below, Cathy Kelley previews the upcoming John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match that will take place on Smackdown Live. Just an FYI, the SummerSlam poster has leaked and it might give you a hint on who will be Mahal’s opponent. We won’t spoil it here but click here if you want to see the poster.

Former WWE Superstar and current Ring Of Honor World Champion Cody Rhodes has launched his own wine. You heard that right.

Here are the details:

“This wine’s story: “The American Nightmare” Cody Runnels is a wine guy…and the World Champ. He knows his wines as well as anyone. He knew he wanted a big red with his creative fingerprints all over it when we began discussing this exciting collaboration. Our winemaker buddy Sean Boyd has let us try his incredible GSM blends for years now and we told him to count us in for 400 cases for a special occasion this year — and this bottle is that special occasion. We are incredibly excited to partner up with the World Champ on this one-of-a-kind collaboration and we can’t wait for our wine club members to try this juice in September!”
