Danhausen has reportedly become the No. 2 merchandise seller in all of WWE in the two and a half months since his television debut, with Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Nick Khan personally highlighting the run at the company’s latest Town Hall meeting.
Per PWInsider Elite, Triple H and Khan praised Danhausen during the Town Hall, showing clips of his recent WWE TV work and pointing out specific metrics from his merchandise performance.
“Danhausen’s popularity and success was praised today by Nick Khan and Paul Levesque at today’s WWE employee Town Hall. After showing clips of Danhausen, they pointed out that he’s become the #2 merchandise seller for the company in the two and a half months since he’s arrived and become a WWE star. They noted three of his current shirt designs are in the top 5 best-selling shirts currently and praised his ESPN appearances as well as the crossover appeal of Danhausen ‘uncursing’ The New York Knicks basketball team.”
Danhausen has become a significant part of the New York Knicks’ story over the past several weeks. After cursing the Knicks during their playoff run, he later uncursed them, with the Knicks crediting him as a quasi-mascot through the post-uncursing stretch. On Monday night, Danhausen publicly cursed the Cleveland Cavaliers before their Game 1 Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Knicks. The Knicks went on to win in overtime after coming back from 22 points down in the fourth quarter, with Jalen Brunson leading the comeback for one of the biggest NBA postseason comebacks of the season.
The Town Hall praise also acknowledged Danhausen’s ESPN appearances, which have been part of WWE’s expanded media push under the company’s new ESPN Premium Live Events deal. Danhausen has been featured on ESPN coverage of the NBA playoffs and on multiple ESPN-side WWE content tie-ins.
Danhausen has been on WWE television since March 2026. He has appeared on SmackDown across an extended storyline involving Sami Zayn and the Gingerbread Man, with commentary teasing a mystery partner over the past several weeks.
