WWE Star Traveling For Clash In Italy Match After Being Banged Up At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Sol Ruca is reportedly still traveling to WWE Clash in Italy this Sunday despite being banged up after Saturday Night’s Main Event, with PWInsiderElite reporting that WWE sources confirmed her travel plans on Friday afternoon.

Cathy Kelley confirmed during a backstage interview segment with Becky Lynch on the May 25th Raw that Ruca had suffered injuries during her disqualification win over Lynch at SNME XLIV on May 23. WWE has not made an official announcement regarding the nature of the injuries.

Becky Lynch raised additional speculation on Friday with a social media post claiming Ruca was not medically cleared to compete at Clash in Italy. Per Lynch on X:

“I told Sol Puka (cause she makes me want to puke!!!!!) she wasn’t ready to step in the ring with me and she didn’t listen!!!!! I hope she make it to Italy although she’s not medically cleared! Some people think it’s because she LOST HER MIND!”

PWInsiderElite directly addressed the Lynch claim in its Friday update. Per the report: “In regard to Becky Lynch saying Sol Ruca was not medically cleared to wrestle, Ruca got banged up at the Saturday Night’s Main Event match. However, WWE sources indicated to PWInsiderElite.com this afternoon that Ruca is traveling to Italy for the Clash in Italy event today. So, Ruca will be there.”

The BetOnline betting odds have Ruca as the -350 favorite to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, with Lynch the +225 underdog.  The SNME XLIV match between Lynch and Ruca ended in a disqualification finish, with Ruca winning the bout but Lynch retaining the title, given the disqualification stipulation.

Ruca was called up to the main roster from NXT on the May 18th Raw, with her arrival representing one of the more high-profile recent main roster call-ups. The former NXT Women’s North American Champion has immediately been positioned alongside top WWE stars, including Liv Morgan, IYO SKY, and Lynch.
