Although no one (as of this writing) has complained publicly, thereĀ is some unhappiness from the wrestlers after it was announced that Raw would air live on Christmas and New Years night. The issue has more to do with Christmas night because the feeling was that they would get to spend the holiday with their family and most of the crew learned about the news via WWE.com on Monday evening. In previous years, they would have 12/25 off and then head out to New York City for a show on 12/26 at Madison Square Garden. If Raw fell on Christmas Eve or Christmas night then it would be taped over the weekend but that is not the case this year. Christmas day shows used to do big business during the territory days but times have changed and the talent is used to having that day off.

Beth, although not happy about the news, did note that it was a network decision. If that is the case, then this could be a test by USAĀ Network to see if a live show on Christmas does better than a taped show. The NBA has made Christmas Day games a tradition on ABC. This year, the Oakland Raiders will face the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas night on ESPN so that might have played into USA’s decision to go live on that night. The game will go head to head with Raw beginning at 8:30 pm eastern.
Christmas Day. Really??? Some are sensitive to my "public complaining" so let me NOT publicly complain about our Christmas Day without Jeffš

About my last tweet…apparently it's the network's decision…not WWE's…but still…
