Intercontinental Champion Penta vs. Chad Gable took place at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Gable brought the fight to him right out of the gate before Penta fought back with strikes. Penta went for a spring board move, but Chad caught him and hit a series of german suplexes. Penta caught him with a spring board head kick. Penta hit him with an outside dive over the top rope. They traded chops before Penta hit him with a hea dkick. Gable with a front suplex into the corner for 2. Gable was bleeding from his forehead. Penta wenr for a destroyer, but Gable blocked and rolled through. Chad had him in an ankle lock, but Penta rolled through. Gable with an armbar to Penta on the ropes but Penta got out. Chad countered a destroyer and hit a german suplex on the apron. Chad with a moonsault off the top rope to the floor. Chad with a flying headbutt off the top rope for 2. Chad caught Penta with the ankle lock and Penta tapped out.
Winner: Gable
