World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins took place at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Rollins was countering everything that Reigns was throwing at him in the early going before Reigns hit him with a big boot. Rollins tossed him to the floor and hit an outside dive. They brawled into the crowd and back into the ring side. Reigns powerbombed Seth through the announce table. Moments later, Seth powerbombed Reigns through the table. Back in the ring, Seth caught him with a pedigree for 2. Reigns went for a spear and Rollins hit him with a stomp for 2. Reigns locked in the guillotine choke but Seth got out and Reigns hit him with a spear for 2. Seth hit him with a spear for a near fall that got everyone. Seth with a buckle bomb, but missed the spear. Reigns with a buckle bomb and a stomp for 2. The referee was knocked down and they traded right hands. Seth did the Jon Moxley no sell spot through the ropes and hit a DDT, something Michael Cole mentioned by naming Dean Ambrose. Reigns accidentally speared the referee. Seth with a stomp to Reigns. Seth grabbed a chair, but Reigns punched him. They traded right hands and Seth egged him on and Reigns fired up with right hands. Seth no sold a superman punch and hit a pedigree. Seth missed the stomp, but managed to follow up with one moments later then went to the top rope and missed a super stomp. Reigns with a spear then another one. Reigns hit a third one for the win.
Winner: Reigns
Post-match, Reigns extended his fist and Rollins gave him a fist bump.
