WWE teases SummerSlam opponent for Becky Lynch (UPDATED)

Becky Lynch left WWE Extreme Rules with the Raw Women’s Championship and she is now moving on from her feud with Lacey Evans.

The question is who is next for Lynch? Well, the WWE.com preview is hinting that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are next to challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship. Yes, even though they lost the handicap match to Bayley (Bliss wasn’t pinned but Cross was), I guess this means you can still be the number 1 contender for a different title.

The WWE.com preview notes that Cross and Bliss are now out of the SmackDown Women’s Title picture but “she and Cross could conceivably make a play for Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, who is finally free of Lacey Evans following the results of WWE Extreme Rules’ main event. Of course, that’s all supposing Bliss & Cross’ friendship survives this latest in-ring disappointment.”

With just 4 weeks of hype for SummerSlam, we’ll probably get a few top matches announced tonight on Raw and on SmackDown Live.

For what it’s worth, there’s a big name advertised to return next week in Tampa that would be a great surprise and great SummerSlam opponent. Click here if you want to know who is advertised to return to Raw soon.
