WWE Teasing Angle Between Becky Lynch And Surprising Name

WWE appears to be teasing a storyline involving Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and WWE referee Jessika Carr. Lynch has increasingly blamed Carr for several of her recent high-profile losses.

The feud escalated this week on WWE Raw, where Lynch defended her title against Maxxine Dupri. Carr disqualified Lynch for hitting Dupri with the championship belt, handing Dupri the victory. This was not the first time Lynch had issues with Carr as the referee also officiated Lynch’s count-out loss to Dupri on the October 6 episode of Raw and was the official when Lynch tapped out to AJ Lee in a mixed tag team match at WWE Wrestlepalooza.

On Wednesday, Carr posted a message to social media addressing Lynch’s complaints. “I don’t say a lot or stir up issues….but it’s wild that someone keeps talking about me….when all they’ve been doing is tapping out, getting counted out, and taking the easy way out by getting disqualified. But I’m the problem?“

Carr’s post followed an Instagram video from Lynch, where the champion addressed her disqualification loss from Monday. Lynch claimed Carr should have disqualified Dupri first for illegal tactics. “In the match, clear as day, everybody saw it. Maxxine closed-fist punch to my face, an illegal maneuver. Jessika Carr should have disqualified her,” Lynch said.

Lynch also alleged that Dupri’s fingernails were an illegal weapon. “What’s more, an illegal maneuver with an illegal object,” Lynch continued. “I verified this through experts, through nail technicians. They have verified that the nails that Maxxine Dupri was wearing would cause intense damage to the lip”.

Prior to signing with WWE as a referee in 2017, Carr had a career as a professional wrestler under the name Kennedi Brink. She competed for various promotions, including Ring of Honor, SHIMMER, SHINE, and Maryland Championship Wrestling. Carr recently returned to the ring, wrestling under a mask as Kalyx on WWE Evolve episodes in February and April of this year.
