WWE WrestleMania 39 (Sunday) results: Roman Reigns retains Undisputed Universal Title with the help of Solo Sikoa

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 on Sunday night.

After a slow start, Rhodes tried to pick up the pace, but Reigns would slow it back down while remaining in control. Solo Sikoa hit Rhodes in the back with a chair when the referee wasn’t looking. Solo tripped Rhodes, allowing Reigns to hit a clothesline. Rhodes with a back body drop to Reigns through the announce table. Back in the ring, Rhodes with a flurry of signature moves. Rhodes with the Cody Cutter for 2. Solo hit Rhodes in the back with the weight belt and was banned from ringside. Reigns went to hit him with it, but Rhodes hit him with a superkick and then cross rhodes for 2. Reigns with the rock bottom for 2. 

Rhodes avoided the superman punch and hit a pedigree for 2. Rhodes went for a spring board move when Reigns hit a superman punch. Reigns went for a spear, but Rhodes rolled him up for 2 before putting him in the figure four leg lock. Reigns hit a spear for 2 after Rhodes missed a dive. After doing a near fall following a spear, Reigns put him in a guillotine choke. Rhodes accidentally kicked the referee down and then hit a clothesline to Reigns. Out came The Usos to attack Rhodes only for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to make the save before laying out Reigns with their finishers. Rhodes with a flurry of jabs then cross rhodes twice. Paul Heyman distracted the referee, solo hit Rhodes with the samoan spike to Rhodes and Reigns hit a spear for the win.
