WWE WrestleMania 42 Results: Roman Reigns Wins World Heavyweight Title

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns took place at the WWE WrestleMania 42 – Night 2 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

They brawled in the early going, including around the barricade. Reigns tossed Punk off the announce table onto the floor. Reigns controlled the majority of this one. Punk was tied up in the corner and Reigns hit a series of punches. Reigns hit him with the superman punch then hit Punk in the face with the steps and was busted open. Punk avoided a spear and hit a GTS for 2. They did some near falls and Punk even mocked Reigns’ superman punch and went for it and hit it for 2. Punk went for a spear, but Reigns caught him with the guillotine. Reigns went for a triangle choke, but Punk reversed and put him in the anaconda device. Reigns reversed and put him in a choke. Punk got out and went for the sharpshooter, but Reigns fought out. Punk fell right into the guillotine choke, but Punk turned it into a pinning attempt. They did a double clothesline spot. Punk distracted the referee, hit a low blow and hit the GTS for 2. Punk with an elbow drop off the top rope through an announce table to Reigns. Reigns with a spear to Punk, but couldn’t cover him. Both men were exhausted. Punk swung and missed. Reigns with another spear and got it done.
