Back in April, it was reported that Slapjack (previously Shane Thorne) had been moved from the Raw brand to SmackDown.
WWE had also moved Reckoning (formerly Mia Yim) from Raw to SmackDown at this time. Both stars were in the Retribution stable alongside T-Bar, Mace, and Mercedes Martinez, but the group was split up.
Fightful Select reported today that the move was done without his knowledge and Thorne only found out when other wrestlers told him that he was listed on the internal roster sheets and depth charts.
Thorne hasn’t worked a televised match since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown in March. He is still listed under the gimmick and name on WWE’s website.
He did work a dark match at the June 25 SmackDown TV event where he lost to NXT Champion Karrion Kross. There was also a battle royal at the July 16th SmackDown event that was held for the live fans in attendance and Thorne worked the match.
